Get Ready Work Ready (GRWR) is a Pacific-led programme run by The Cause Collective, supporting people in South Auckland take real steps into employment or further study.
Delivered in South Auckland since 2022, GRWR takes a holistic, Pacific approach to wellbeing and success.
The GRWR programme empowers people through 3 stages: Get Ready, Work Ready, Future Ready.
Participants build real workplace experience, gain practical certifications and develop the everyday skills employers look for, all backed by dedicated Pastoral Care throughout the programme.
The goal is to help participants feel confident, prepared and supported to succeed in employment, with ongoing support beyond their first day on the job.
Get you set up to succeed – sorting out what is in the way before it becomes a problem, induction, CV development and building the basics.
Real time in real workplace. Building everyday skills employers look for. Interviewing skills, turning up, communication, taking feedback and industry specific pathways.

GRWR supports Pacific people in South Auckland into sustainable employment, training, or education, with our Pastoral Care team supporting every participant every step of the way.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
9:30am - 2:30pm
Aged 18–24 years, or 25+ who are currently receiving support from Work and Income, and who live in the South Auckland region.

Participants build real workplace experience, gain practical certifications and develop the everyday skills employers look for, all backed by dedicated Pastoral Care throughout.
The goal is not just securing a placement. It is about ensuring participants are genuinely set up to sustain it, with support continuing well after their first day on the job.
A graduation ceremony will be held at the end of the programme for participants and their families.

By 2030, Pacific people are projected to make up on- third Auckland’s workforce. GRWR is focused on ensuring young Pacific people have the opportunity to progress into any part of the workforce, rather than being limited to traditionally low-wage, low-skill roles.
